Why European desserts taste different — and how our pastry chef brings that continental magic to every sweet ending at the Courtyard.

European desserts are not about sugar. They are about balance. A proper Tiramisu should taste of coffee first, then mascarpone, then a whisper of cocoa. The sugar is there, but it does not shout.

This philosophy guides everything we create at Cafe Courtyard. Our Tiramisu uses espresso roasted specifically for us by a small roaster in Kolkata who understands the continental tradition. The mascarpone is whipped by hand, never over-beaten. Each layer is assembled with the patience of a meditation.

Our Chocolate Fondant is another story. The exterior is a delicate cake shell. The interior is a molten river of 70% dark chocolate. The first spoonful should make you pause — not because it is sweet, but because it is profound.

Dessert at Cafe Courtyard is not an afterthought. It is a conclusion.
